Red Bull employment is explained by Jurgen Klopp: Following his departure from Anfield earlier this year, the German has been enjoying a holiday. It appears that the weight has been taken off his shoulders based on his appearances at athletic events and concerts.
Due to his prominence in the game, Klopp has been linked to numerous positions; however, only Red Bull has been able to successfully court his interests as he moved away from the touchline.
The Red Bull concept goes against the history of the game, thus it hasn’t been well embraced in some quarters, notably among Borussia Dortmund followers.
Red Bull officially announced his appointment, and the 57-year-old used his Instagram account to give a reason for accepting the position of head of football.
Hello. I’m incredibly excited to be heading up Red Bull’s worldwide soccer division starting on January 1, 2025, as some of you may have previously known or may not,” he stated.
“I still feel as though I don’t picture myself on the sidelines as I did a few months ago. However, I still enjoy working and playing football.
“I have the ideal foundation for that thanks to Red Bull. I would like to impart the experience I have accumulated over the years.

“We all know that there are many more accomplished managers than me, but during my career, I battled for titles and trophies, against relegation, and for promotion.
We succeeded and failed at different times. Although it’s not simple to handle, it is doable.
“Then, since I have to play every three days for my job, I want to start learning again because I don’t have much time for that.
“I have the opportunity and the time right now.
“I want to see, feel, and determine what is beneficial for football; I also want to see football develop a little bit.”
I’m really excited about it, but I have to go back on vacation right now. I’ll see you in January.
Strategic management for Red Bull’s global network of teams, which includes Leipzig, Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Bragantino, will fall under Klopp’s purview.
It will be interesting to see if Klopp plays any part at Salzburg, where Pepijn Lijnders is the manager at the moment and is having difficulty in his first few months in the position, in case you missed the news.
Given that he has stated his intention to forego going back to the touchline, this role fits with Klopp’s vision for his future in the game.
