Temba Bavuma is pleased with his team: The captain of the ship of South Africa’s cricket team, Temba Bavuma, was pleased with his side’s composed and expert performance against Dublin in the second One-Day Internationally. Tristan Stubbs’ outstanding century enabled South Africa defeat Dublin by 174 runs in an innings.
After South Africa beat Ireland by 174 runs, skipper Bavuma, Temba, expressed pride in the maturity of his team. With a dominant bat display headed by Tristan Stubbs in Abu Dhabi on Friday, October 4, the South Africans established an insurmountable advantage in the three-match ODI series.
After the game, Bavuma praised Travis and Kyle Verreynne for their strong finishes, stating that these kinds of series are helping South Africa in expanding their pool of players.
“The performance was extremely clinical and mature, and it marked a significant advancement over the first game and the type of performance we want to see. We discussed the swing in the opening ten overs, especially with Stubbs and Verreynne taking it deep, and the great finish at the conclusion. The men have demonstrated their abilities and raised their hand on all fronts, which is exactly what you want in a team. Desire depth and it also puts pressure on the new players,” Bavuma remarked following the second One-Day International.
Temba Bavuma is pleased with his team:
In a steamy and muggy Abu Dhabi on Friday, South Africa defeated Ireland by 174 runs to win their three-game One Day International series with one game remaining, thanks to Tristan Stubbs’ unbroken career-best 112 from 81 balls. Having chosen to bat, South Africa amassed 343 for four in their fifty overs, driven by Stubbs’ first-ever ODI century and Kyle Verreynne’s 67 off 64 balls as they shared 103 runs for the third wicket.
Temba Bavuma, South Africa’s captain, is a worry for the two-Test away tour of Bangladesh that begins on October 21. Bavuma retired hurt after a fluent 35 due to a soft tissue injury in his arm.
A 52-run partnership between number 11 Craig Young (29 not out) and Graham Hume (21) gave the score some respectability. Craig Young now has the highest score for Ireland in this series. Ireland was bowled out for 169 after failing to establish a foundation for their reply.
Lizaad Williams, a seamer, was the best of the South African bowlers for the second straight game after taking three early wickets and finishing with numbers of 3-36. Several of South Africa’s regular athletes have been rested for the series. The third and last ODI will be contested at the same location on Monday.
