Rahmanullah Gurbaz Becomes Second-Youngest to Hit 8 ODI Centuries, Surpassing Legends Like Tendulkar and Kohli

Rahmanullah Gurbaz:  A wicketkeeper batsman over Afghanistan, made history on Monday by being the second-youngest player in history to score eight ODI hundreds. In the match versus Bangladesh, He made history by defeating some of the game’s the foundation, notably Virat Kohli, Tendulkar, Sachin, & Babar Azam. Gurbaz scored 101 runs off 120 balls in the final ODI of a series at Sharjah, helping his country defeat Bangladeshi by 5 wickets.

At an age of 22 years & 357 days, He achieved his seventh ODI era, pushing Sachin Tendulkar out of second place. Quinton de Kock of South Africa, who achieved the turning point at the age of 22 years & 312 days, remains to hold the top rank.

While current Indian team batsman Virat achieved his eighth ODI century at the age of 23 years and 27 days of age, Tendulkar was twenty-two and 357 days old when he achieved it. Babar Azam of Pakistan is ranked third after hitting his eighth ODI century at the age of 23 years and 280 days.

The player with the most hundred for Afghanistan in One-Day Internationals is Gurbaz. Mohammad Shahzad follows next (6). On Monday, He scored his third century in the 50-over form in Sharjah and his third against Bangladesh.

In the third match, He found form with a blistering innings of 101 at the peak of the batting order, while Azmatullah Omarzai received the award for Player of the Match for his four wickets and unbeaten 70* with Nabi at the end of the pursuit.

It enabled the beautiful right-hander climb higher on the list in Afghan players with the most ODI dozens, as it was Gurbaz’s third ODI century of the year and ninth overall.

Afghanistan will go to Zimbabwe for a multi-format tour comprising of three Twenty20 Internationals, three One-Day Internationals, and two Tests in Bulawayo, ahead of the Champions Trophy, a cricket competition next year, which is set for February and March in Pakistan.
