The Indian contingent celebrated in style on the dance floor following the win. Members of the team, including D Gukesh and R Praggnanandhaa, appeared to be planning a celebration as they danced while holding the trophy to the tune “Tunuk Tunuk.”
Famous Indian businessman Anand Mahindra retorted in a lighthearted manner, saying that Punjabi is always the greatest language to celebrate success.
One of the stars of the winning India squad, Vantika Agrawal, disclosed to Bbc that their celebrations had been organized beforehand.
“This was something we had planned. We had planned to celebrate and dance after winning the medal, as well as to make some reels and have dinner. Since we were the top seeds going into the competition, it was somewhat believed that we would place first,” Vantika said.
