This is not the first time in international cricket that a batsman has been out like this. Former Indian team opener Virender Sehwag has also been out in a similar manner. In the 2007 ODI match against Sri Lanka, Sehwag did not even realize that he was out of the crease. He was walking outside the crease without placing his bat or feet inside. The then Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Sangakkara showed cleverness and ran him out.
