Amidst Real Madrid and Bayern matches, FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal’s injury recovery time was revealed.

FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal: During an important month for FC Barcelona, with matches against Real Madrid taking place in the El Clasico and Bayern Munich in the Champions League coming up, the team’s star player, Lamine Yamal, suffered a knee injury while playing with Spain on international duty.

The teenager was spotted hobbling off of the stadium after the final UEFA Nations League match, that ended in a 1-0 victory over Denmark.

Later on, the RFEF issued a statement regarding the situation, stating that Lamine had an MRI this morning in Madrid to evaluate the soreness that was observed during the encounter against Denmark.

“RFEF medical services have confirmed that the condition is an overload and the tests have not revealed any structural injuries. Given the urgency of the match against Serbia and the player’s health as a top priority, the Spanish FA continued, “It has been decided to remove him.

Lamine will be replaced by Rodrigo Riquelme of Atletico Madrid for Tuesday’s match against Serbia. The Barcelona star is anticipated to return home to Barcelona on Sunday afternoon.

More tests will be conducted, according to Blaugrana journalist Javi Miguel on X, formerly known as Twitter. If an overload is verified by Barca medical staff, Lamine is unlikely to play for his team against Sevilla one week from now.

FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal:

It could be advisable to rest Lamine regardless of whether he is cleared to play when the Andalusians visit Montjuic Stadium on October 20, which is Hansi Flick’s team’s first match back after the international break.

This is due to the fact that Barca will then play two very important matches in La Liga against fierce rivals Real Madrid and in the Champions League on the continent against Flick’s previous employer, Bayern Munich.

A matchup between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Spanish top division might determine the outcome of the La Liga title in May. Barca leads Real Madrid by three points at this stage.

Bayern, who have been Barca’s worst enemy in Europe lately, will be a tough test for a club that has only won one and drew one of its first three UCL games in 2024–2025.
